Avery @ Five

August has been good to me! I've had a full schedule so far with some very long-time clients. Avery's family has been having portraits taken at Real Life Photography for 8 or 9 years. When I stop and think about the significance of that, it touches a special place in my heart.

     When I was little, I wanted to be an artist, an astronaut or an archeologist, and above all other ideas of who I thought I'd become, I knew without a doubt that one day I wanted to be a mom. I have loved every minute of watching my boys grow into handsome and witty young men. An added blessing that I never knew would happen to me, is that I've not only enjoyed watching my boys grow, but also the children of my clients.

Ms. Avery first came to the studio as a tiny baby and now she is FIVE. The times flies by, but the relationships and the memories will last forever.

Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning. This lovely little turns TWO very soon. Oh my goodness those curls are adorable.

Duncan's Senior Portraits

Never in my life will I find another family like the Penland's. They have welcomed me into their home as an out of town guest dozens of times, always offered lively conversations, and are the definitions of comfort, and friendship.

With such trail blazing parents, Duncan is sure to accomplish amazing feats as a young adult. I am excited to see where his path leads.

Saratoga Springs, Mount Pleasant NC, Wedding of Mary and Daniel

I have been beyond excited for this weekend's wedding between Mary Lindsaye and Daniel. My first memory of Mary, was when she was just a toddler. She was such a sweet and beautiful little girl. Seeing her get married this weekend, and attending the wedding as not just a guest, but as their photographer was a dream.

I also can not say enough wonderful things about the venue. I've never had the opportunity to shoot here before, so I was like a kid in a candy store, exploring all the nooks and crannies of this beautiful estate. Saratoga Springs is without a doubt one of my top five wedding venues.
